I like the DOF to that first pic, something a little different than the "normal" DOF shots like this.

These are really cute! I, too, like the DOF in the first one.
I especially like the 2nd one. He looks like he's trying to be "threatening", but just looks so angelic. I like the closer view of his face in this one. Just adorable.
