That is a WONDERFUL thing to focus on. I always loved getting read to when I was a child. Great photo and I LOVE your focus...nice color too.
I need to do this with my dd. My son is to old now and reads on his own. What a great thing to focus on!

We're working on teaching Peyton to read right now, too. It's tough because I really don't know how to go about doing it. . . she is smart, though, and I think she'll pick up quickly! You'll have to share some pointers if you have any! :)
Your DOF is really great in this shot! He looks so grown up reading his Spiderman book! This will be a shot you'll look back on and smile when he graduates from high school!

love your dof---those are some of my favorite shots...
I miss reading to my kids! Do you think they'd object if I called them now (ages 24, 22 & 19) and asked if I could read them a bedtime story for old times sake? My kids have come to us in the last several years and all said that one of the most important things we did was read to them, and get them to love books. I really like the way your photo is focused on the letters of "spiderman", with your son in the background. He'll like this a lot when he's older.

My 4 year olds resolution was to learn how to read.
Awesome picture. Love the depth of field on that one, and the Spiderman is cool. You can't go wrong with focusing on reading!
